I love Halloween and every year I cannot wait until my favorite television characters get into the spirit as much as I do. They always have the best costumes. Stupid brilliant writers! Bitterness aside, here’s a look at some of best, funniest, and weirdest costumes I’ve encountered during my 20 years of Halloween themed episodes.
Poor Ted. Every year he wears the same increasingly outdated Halloween costume in hopes that The Slutty Pumpkin will reappear. While he does eventually meet his promiscuous gourd ( played by Katie Holmes) in a later season it is quite clear that she is not the mother. Guess it’s time to leave the the early 2000′s Ted.
Michael Scott- Two Headed Michael
What’s better than one Michael Scott? One Michael Scott and papier mache look-alike! . I guess two heads are always better than one!
Ross Gellar (Friends)- Sputnik
It was a conversation piece. Only this conversation mostly involved people asking Ross why he decided to dress as some poo. I mean come on people! He was clearly a spud with with antenna! Spudnik. Okay fine, I wouldn’t have gotten it either.
Oz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)- God
Oz always being a man of subtly and very few words complimented Willows Joan of Arc costume perfectly by putting a Hello My Name is God sticker on his normal clothing. Best couple costume ever.
I tried really hard to not post costumes from a show already listed but The Office made it really hard. In the end I just couldn’t ignore the simplistic brilliance that was Three Hole Punch Jim. Honorable mention to Jim’s popular social networking site costume Bookface.
She is my absolute favorite history nerd. Nobody can rock 1940’s propaganda feminism like Leslie Knope.
Arlene’s preteen daughter showed all of Bon temp that she knows what’s up it comes to trash pop culture. It was both hysterical and disturbing to see her wearing a fake pregnant belly. Thank you MTV.
Not only did he show up to work in a muscle Spider-man costume. He spent the majority of the day covering it up upon finding out that no one else (besides two idiots) was dressed up. At least he looked jacked out of his mind when he wore his suit over it!
Seeing Leonard finally getting the courage to kiss Penny was awesome. Watching him do it dressed as Frodo? Priceless.
“That’s how we roll in the shire.” Hell yeah!
Runner up- Ted, Lily, and Marshall dressed up as Salt, Pepper, and Cumin.
